Keno Schemes That Win
It won't usually be seen as the most lucrative game in the arena of gambling, but keno has millions and millions of devoted admirers. And why not? It's a always exciting lottery-style game that's a breeze to play, abundantly available in several alternate styles, and one that will pay out mega-dollars for people who learn its limitless subtle nuances. But let's start with the basic rules for now.
When explaining keno to beginners, some gambling pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least in some measure correct, in that each game is fundamentally numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to miscalculate the good many unique traits that make keno so compelling. Not like bingo, keno enthusiasts have the power to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the user is granted an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she desires. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your handpicked numbers with a standardmarker like you used when you were in grade 3.
Now that you have selected your numbers, carry the card back to the person at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning slip on you, you will be given exactly $.00 for your efforts.
Ok, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let's move to something a bit more useful, what do you think?
Now that you've checked off your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and see the action unfold on a video monitor. That's where the winning numbers are shown in lights. If you've got winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to drag your feet, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, and a new round of keno will almost certainly start up within 5 minutes.
Strategy number two: always make it back to the keno stand on time!
Since you don't trust yourself to meet that five-minute margin each and every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum number of games (fitting the amount of tickets) is played, you will then be able to get off your lazy bum and go collect your winnings.
Yet an additional alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally allows you make number picks for 30 keno games or more. Golly, you can take a Swedish massage and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
So now you have learned several needed schemes for winning keno. If you are an accomplished keno player, they may appear to be very obvious. However, it will never hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a novice keno player, every little bit of advice will help make your keno wagering more entertaining.
