Keno Tactics That Make Money
It will not usually be considered the most fun game in the world of gambling, but keno has huge amounts of fanatical followers. And so it should! It's a always thrilling lottery-ish game that's simple to pickup, readily available in tons of alternate formats, and one that can yield millions for players who master its many subtle rules. But let's deal with the beginner's rules for now.
When explaining keno to amateurs, some betting pros compare it to bingo. This is at least to some extent apt, in that each game is essentially numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far is likely to be to devalue the many unique characteristics that make keno so entertaining. Unlike bingo, keno players have the ability to choose the numbers for each and every card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the player is granted an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as she feels they need. And it doesn't take a genius to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your chosen numbers with a every day old#2 pencil like you had back in school.
Now that you've checked your numbers, carry the game card back to the person at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning slip with you, you will collect exactly $.00 for your winning card.
So, there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let's move to something a bit more useful, yes?
After you've marked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action happen on a big video monitor. That is where the winning numbers show up in lights. If you've got winners, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You really want to get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, as a new drawing will likely get going within not too many minutes.
Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you can not trust yourself to meet that five-minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the max number of rounds (fitting the number of tickets) is finished, you are then able to get off your numb bum and go redeem your winnings.
Another opportunity is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which commonly lets you make number choices for 30 keno rounds or more. Heck, you can take all the time in the world and not have to fret about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!
And now you know a handful of essential strategies for winning keno. If you are an experienced gambler, they might appear to be quite obvious. Still, it does not hurt to brush up on the fundamentals, and if you are a beginner player, every tiny bit of information will help make your keno experience more exciting.
